Welcome to my online gallery and blog. Thanks for stopping by.

I come from Dublin, Ireland, and am currently based in Chicago. I specialize in travel photography, cityscapes and portraiture and event photography. I love to capture fleeting harmonious moments and the beauty and magic of the world around me.  Things look pretty cool through a lens, and I love sharing that with people.  My work has been featured online and in print and has had over 14 million (recorded) views online.

  1. Hello there, I like your photography and interesting we both like night and architectural photography. Architecture is my profession but I do enjoy doing photography when I can. Look me up at Flickr.com as FABLOS and let me know what you think.

    Have a great day,

Thanks for stopping by Fablos! Don’t see your account there anywhere, but best of luck on your photo adventures!

  2. I love your pictures of Chicago; I lived their while a student in seminary in the 1970’s. I’m currently renewing my interest in photography (years ago I was an enthusiast (before digital)). I’m now considering purchasing a camera. I’ve considering the Sony a58, the Nikon 5300, and the Sony 6000. These are all very different cameras; would you have a suggestion for a beginner taking a step into the digital SLR world?
Thanks again; I plan to follow your page.

Hi Allen, thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying my site! There is a lot to consider when getting a new camera! Most of my pictures here were taken with the Canon T3i, which I love, and is an entry level camera, although I think if I was starting now I would be looking at a mirrorless system- more for the convenience of the size and weight, and the image quality comparable to the heavier DSLR’s. Consider what you want to use it for primarily- I like to carry my camera everywhere, so size and weight is important to me, as well as good wide angle lens options and ISO performance, since I enjoy low light photography. Think about what you expect to shoot mostly, and find the camera that is best suited for that, but really you can get results from any camera nowadays! It’s the photographer that makes the biggest difference- best of luck on your photo adventures!
